Financial Plan

In 2007 the Province issued Ontario Regulation 453/07 Financial Plans and guidance is provided in an MOE document “Toward Financially Sustainable Drinking Water and Waste Water Systems”. This regulation details what is required for a water supply system’s Financial Plan, which was implemented as part of the Municipal Drinking Water System Licensing Program. The deadline for the UWSS’s Financial Plan to be approved by the Board Members was July 1, 2010. The Financial Plan is also to be posted on a public website.  The UWSS retained CN Watson & Associates Ltd to prepare its Financial Plan, mainly due to their familiarity with the UWSS and the other participating municipalities through previous rate studies.
