Hypoxia Event in Lake Erie - July 11, 2025
With the rapidly rising temperatures in Lake Erie over the past two weeks, residents may be experiencing some taste and odor issues. Rest assured that your water is safe to drink, and operational staff are making changes to the treatment process to mitigate these issues. These adjustments can take 24-48 hours or more before they become noticeable. Winds over the weekend will assist in mixing the lake water to alleviate some of these issues. Please visit our Hypoxia page to read more about this issue.
